- Laser cutting: as an assist gas, nitrogen is used to safely blow away molten material from a cut zone without reacting to the metal
- High pressure cutting: reduce residue and ensure precision for 20+ bar, thick metal cutting
Contamination
- Puring and blanketing: reduce exposure to oxygen for welding zones and metal surfaces
- Inerting: during cutting, introducing nitrogen precent oxidation resulting in a better weldability, no discoloration and smoother edges
- Cleaning: Nitrogen can also be used to clean metal surfaces prior to painting or coating
